Norwegian producer and multi-instrumentalist Morten Martens, recording as Les Imprimés, will release his second album Fading Forward on 10 April via Big Crown Records. It will also be available exclusively at HHV as a white-vinyl edition, limited to 150 copies. Even if Scandinavia is not exactly known for doo-wop, R’n’B or summery vibes, Les Imprimés fits the New York neo-soul label of Leon Michels surprisingly well.

For many years, the autodidact Martens refined the music of others, gathering studio experience and training his ear before his acclaimed debut Rêverie appeared in 2023. Since then, he has gained further intuition, assurance and self-confidence, and for the follow-up he played almost all the instruments himself – he also produced Fading Forward. Yet his warm, sensitive, at times melancholic and remarkably vulnerable soul still does not quite seem to belong to his snowy homeland, as the video for the single »You & I« also suggests.
