Pangaea

Manía / Neuromance

Hessle Audio • 2025

Pangaea’s Manía / Neuromance is a sharply defined continuation of the current UK sound—uncompromising, stylistically open and firmly aimed at the club. On this EP, released via Hessle Audio, he once again shows where his strength lies: heavyweight productions that process tension and contrasts just as skilfully as pressure and depth.

»Manía« opens as a driving tech-house track: deep basslines, sharp hi-hats and crisp claps immediately trigger the urge to loosen your wrists. Gradually, the repetitive vocals of Spanish newcomer Jazz Alonso join in – »Cosa mía, pequeña manía«—like feverish inner monologues captured in a hypnotic groove. The track builds linearly, setting up the climax on side two.

»Neuromance (Extended Mix)« throws open the gates of ecstasy at nearly 155 BPM: biting synth stabs, hard drums and the cold elegance of 80s synthwave basslines merge with pitched-up vocals and kitschy synth melodies to form a happy hardcore hit. Definitely a track to send step counters sky-high – and to expand the genre of UK Bass with a playful, dancefloor-oriented facet.
