On 4 September, Chat Pile release their third studio album Who Loves The Sun via The Flenser. Exclusively at HHV, there will be a Garnet Colored Vinyl Edition limited to just 200 copies. The record follows Cool World (2024) as well as the surprise collaborative album In the Earth Again with Hayden Pedigo, and continues the band’s path with consistency.

Humanity in noise

Between noise rock, sludge and post-hardcore, the quartet expands its uncompromising sound with melodic accents, without losing any of its force. Lumbering rhythms, downtuned guitars and massive walls of sound shape an album concerned with social brutalisation, being overwhelmed by the present, and the attempt to preserve humanity in an increasingly alienated world.

The lead single »Deep Blue« bundles this tension: avalanche-like riffs meet forceful drumming, while the vocals move between insistent melody and eruptive screamed passages. Again and again, the song culminates in a wall of noise and metal influences.
