CACTUS is more than just a new party series – it is an interdisciplinary platform for visual art, music and community. The collective refers to a club of the same name in Chile in the 1970s, which was considered a safe haven for opposition activists during the military dictatorship. The Berlin CACTUS events are also part of this tradition: as spaces for freedom, solidarity and artistic expression.
Feminist Art Meets Curated Club Sound
For the premiere on May 23, 2025 at Beate Uwe, CACTUS presents a collaboration with the artist and photographer Claudia Holzinger. Her series CACTUSGARDEN scrutinizes societal perceptions of the female body from a feminist perspective. Musically, CHEWCHEW and Viktor Roshu lead through a selection of niche disco and funky soul. The line-up will be completed by CACTUS members Paulita, Marian Tone and Shahrokh Dini, who will contribute jazzy and electronic house sounds. An evening that focuses on community and creativity – and a project that celebrates togetherness.
