Funk Night, label and party series from Detroit, will release »Thèmes et Atmosphères« by the Saint Tropez Orchestra on vinyl on March 22, 2024. HHV Records will exclusively release a purple vinyl edition limited to 200 copies.
Fascinating nostalgia
Originally commissioned by a well-known British institution for library music, the record was recorded in just 25 hours at Studio Des Fontaines under the musical direction of Lee Skelly. And so it proves: the compilation, released digitally at the end of November on the French label Dime, is a dream come true for fans of the sounds of the early seventies. In addition to driving drum and percussion breaks, the release offers sought-after sample material. An avant-garde work that adds a fascinating facet to any music lover’s collection.
