Hania Rani brings her album Non Fiction – Piano Concerto in Four Movements to Berlin on 15 June 2026. Together with the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin, she will perform in the Grand Hall of the Philharmonie under the direction of Marek Moś. The piece was created in a single, partly improvised session with a 45-piece ensemble. Unlike in her earlier works, Rani dispenses here with electronic elements; instead, she worked closely with saxophonist Jack Wyllie and Valentina Magaletti.

Making feelings audible
Released in 2025, the work is among her most penetrating: four movements engage with the story of Josima Feldschuh, a young Jewish pianist from the Warsaw Ghetto. Her story is not merely told, but reflected into a present that remains marked by war and uncertainty. Hania Rani makes feelings audible that are difficult to grasp – live with orchestra, in an even more intense form.
