Blending psychedelic grooves with electronic club aesthetics, Islandman are set to bring their unique sound to Berlin. On 21 October 2025, the trio from Istanbul will perform live at Gretchen, presenting their new album Island5.

Anatolia in the Club
Musically, Island5 – due out on 3 October via the group’s newly founded label Rest In Space – builds a bridge back to their debut Rest in Space. Rather than relying on cool electronics, the record foregrounds warm, organic rhythms. The band refers to their sound as »Neo-Turkish Psychedelia« – music deeply rooted in the sonic language of the 1970s that fuses Anatolian traditions with a contemporary sensibility.
The project was founded by producer and bassist Tolga Böyük. In its current line-up with Erdem Başer (guitar) and Eralp Güven (drums), Islandman develop their tracks in a live setting – ritualistic, danceable, hypnotic.
