With the release of his new album »Sentimental Fool«, Lee Fields is finally going on tour again. In February, the New York soul singer will even come to Germany for two dates and pay a visit to both the Kreuzberger Festsaal in Berlin and the Mojo Club in Hamburg. The Freddy DeBoe Band will be there as supporting act.
Love, Pain & Hope
Already in the 1960s, the now 71-year-old stood on stage and thrilled the audience with his genre suitcase of funk, blues and southern soul. Because of his vocal resemblance to James Brown, Lee Fields is also affectionately called »Little JB«. Earlier this year, together with producer Gabriel Roth and Daptone Records, he created a blues-soaked soul album called »Sentimental Fool«, on which the singer laments the unhappy turn of a love affair with his powerful yet soft voice.
If you already want to get into a melancholic autumn mood, listen to the album and be drawn into a whirlpool of love, pain and hope. And that’s exactly what will happen to you at the concert then.
