Did you think »Soundscape 1: Surrounds« was the last release by the great Japanese ambient artist Hiroshi Yoshimura to be discovered? Not at all. After »Green« and the aforementioned »Surrounds«, both from 1986, Yoshimura began recording »Flora« in 1987. However, the album was not released until 2006, only on CD, almost three years after his death. Stylistically, it follows on from its two predecessors, with the piano taking a somewhat more central role overall. Here we are on the way to »Static for Piano«, which he recorded in 1988.
