The movie »Terza Ipotesi Su Un Caso Di Perfetta Strategia Criminale« was released in Italy in 1972. It is a flick in the tradition of the Giallo. A murder happens, the murderer is searched for, in between there is screwing – suspense! Outlawed at the time as incidental music, many soundtracks from this period are now being reissued. Mario Bertolazzi, who wrote the soundtrack for “Terza Ipotesi”, the third hypothesis, is unlikely to set any bells ringing outside the nerd circles. Yet the composer, born in Bologna in 1918, was a busy man. At the age of six, he got behind the piano and taught himself to play. Later he became a concert artist without being able to read a single note from the sheet. When he graduates from the conservatory after six months with full marks, Mario Bertolazzi climbs the show stairs to film and television. He composes between jazz and Italian pop. The titles idolize beautiful women, the vibe strikes towards neo-noir. The soundtrack to »Terza Ipotesi Su Un Caso Di Perfetta Strategia Criminale« is released in a limited edition for the first time on vinyl via Not Dark Yet- the 200 golden discs are available exclusively at HHV Records .
